Sheriff's Weekly Report

Visit the link to view the Sheriff's weekly report for September 19-25, 2022.
The Sheriff’s weekly report is always for the week prior to the City Manager’s report

Burglary Prevention Tips:

The Sheriff’s Office wants to pass along a few steps to help keep your home safe from potential burglars:
  • Lock all windows and doors, especially when away from home
  • Activate you home alarm system
  • Install motion lights on the exterior of your home
  • Ensure home surveillance systems are operational and provide clear video
  • Dogs who bark at strangers tend to scare away potential burglars
  • Place a hold on mail and newspaper delivery when out of town
  • Notify trusted neighbors that you will be away from home and ask them to report suspicious activity
  • Complete a patrol check request with the Sheriff’s Office so that we can check on your property while you are on vacation
If you encounter an emergency, please call 9-1-1 for assistance.  However, if you would like to report suspicious activity in your neighborhood, or some other event you do not feel is an emergency, or if you are calling from out of the area, please feel free to call the Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency line at (408) 299-2311.

A call to the Non-Emergency line will be answered by the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch center and routed to the patrol deputies in the same manner as an emergency call, while still opening up 9-1-1 lines for those who need emergency assistance.
