Planning Commission Appointments

The Los Altos Hills City Council invites applications from interested residents to serve on the Planning Commission for a term of four years. The term is from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2020.

There are three (3) vacancies on the Planning Commission. The Commission typically meets the first Thursday of the month to review and decide on planning permits for routine, complex and/or controversial development projects. The Planning Commission also advises the City Council on matters pertaining to the Zoning and Site Development Ordinance and the General Plan.

City Council Elections

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8, 2016

The next General Municipal election of the Town of Los Altos Hills will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 to elect three (3) City Councilmembers each to a four year term. A candidate must be a registered voter in the Town of Los Altos Hills and remain an elector.

Nomination Period:

The candidate nomination period for the November 8, 2016 General Municipal Election opens at 8:00 a.m. on Monday July 18 and closes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016, unless extended. Nomination papers will be available at the City Clerk's office during the period listed above. Note that Town Hall is closed daily between noon and 1:00 p.m. Interested registered voters should contact the City Clerk, Deborah Padovan at 650-941-7222 to schedule an appointment to receive nomination papers, and other information on becoming a candidate.

The candidate nomination period will be extended five (5) days, until August 17, 2016, if any eligible incumbent does not file nomination papers by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016.
