Public Works and Engineering
The Public Works Department is responsible for managing major capital infrastructure projects, maintaining public assets, and overseeing inspections, municipal construction, and land development within public rights-of-way. Our team supports private developments, issues encroachment permits, enforces codes, ensures regulatory compliance, and assists with town events and resident inquiries.
Daily operations involve providing technical assistance to residents, contractors, consultants, and town departments, ensuring adherence to town standards and regulations. The department also manages capital improvement and maintenance projects for sanitary sewers, storm drainage, roads, pathways, parks, and other facilities, with engineering and maintenance staff available for technical reviews and support. Our work is grounded in a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and high-quality customer service.
