We are ALL in this together

On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, there was a vegetation fire in the Magdalena area of the Los Altos Hills County Fire District caused by arcing power lines and high winds. Residents are reminded to check their properties to assure vegetation is away from powerlines and to have their trees trimmed before the approaching winter season.

PG&E has the following resource page and reminds residents, if you are pruning trees near power lines, call 1-800-743-5000 before you start your work.:

We want to commend the resident who heard something unusual, got up to look around, and immediately called 911 to report the fire.

Feeling extra thankful for our emergency workers keeping the Los Altos Hills community safe. Please do your part as we are all in this together.
