Staff Meeting with GreenWaste Executive Team
This week Town management met with the GreenWaste Executive team to discuss the proposed timeline of negotiations set forth in Amendment #2, which was approved by Council in November of 2021. Both parities reaffirmed the commitment to addressing the concerns shared by Town residents under the current collection program.

New County Fire Chief
Yesterday, during the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board announced the the appointment Suwanna L. Kerdkaew as fire chief of the Santa Clara County Central Fire Protection District. This appointment is effective April 19, 2022. Chief Brian Glass will be returning to the position of assistant fire chief and supporting Chief Kerdkaew through the transition process.
County Report on Emergency Fire Services in South County
At the April 20th Board of Supervisor Meeting the board voted 5-0 to approve referral to Approve referral to Administration and County Counsel to report to the Board with options for strategies to ensure emergency and fire services in South County remain adequate and sustainable.
