Alert Residence Reporting Suspicious Car Leads to Arrest

On Monday, October 17, at approximately 11:00 AM, a residence called the Sheriff’s Office to report a suspicious subject sitting in a vehicle on an empty cul-de-sac.  Deputies responded and contacted the subject.  During an investigation, deputies discovered the subject was on a Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), similar to probation, and in possession of narcotics.  Deputies also learned the subject could not provide a good reason as to why he was parked in the area, other than to say he was “lost”.  The subject was subsequently arrested and booked into the County Jail for narcotics violations, as well as a violation of his PRCS conditions.

This is a great example of a resident reporting something they felt was suspicious, leading to the arrest of a criminal suspect.  We encourage residents to call the Sheriff’s Office to report anything they feel is out of place or suspicious.  Deputies will respond to, investigate, determine if the subjects are engaged in or planning to commit any type of criminal activity, and take the appropriate action.
